About Us
John Collins worked in tool design before going into lighting and furniture in 1967,
becoming a director of a major lighting manufacturer in the 70s. Serious illness forced
self employment and he started 28 Lighting in 1987, selling contemporary lighting
with a design service for homes, commerce and industry.
The retail shop in Saffron Walden, Essex, largely displays modern lights including some
well known design classics
